Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, sought-after California-based makeup artist Jaclyn McKissick creates stunning and striking looks for a diverse clientele, ranging editorial shoots and commercial campaigns to weddings. She tailors her approach and aesthetic to each and every project, accenting and augmenting the subject’s natural beauty in the process. As a result, she uplifts each and every client.
A lifelong makeup obsessive-turned-afficionado, she notably graduated from the Make-Up Designory in Burbank in 2005, achieving a certification in Film, Print, and Beauty. As a MUD-certified makeup artist, she has lent her talents to Sundance Film Festival standout Run as well as sketches on Comedy Central, a high-profile Honda commercial, a music video for GRAMMY® Award-winning superstar Kid Cudi, and dozens of red-carpet events such as the American Music Awards and Country Music Awards. Among many other accomplishments, she created looks for the DASH Models promoting the DASH clothing line founded by Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian.
She has translated these skills to execute the perfect bridal vision. Whether it’s a simple, natural look or a glammed-up vision, she collaborates closely with each and every client. As a licensed esthetician, Jackie also brings a trusted expertise on skincare.
A combination of skill, passion, and enthusiasm continue to distinguish her as a makeup artist.
“For me, the most important part of the process is getting to know the client,” she leaves off. “By understanding the vision, I can make it a reality. It’s a combination of empathy and experience, but the ultimate goal is for clients to feel like their best selves, above all.”
Simultaneously, she continues to give back at every turn, sharing her skills with the community. She regularly volunteers with Lipstick Angels empowering cancer patients to gain back their confidence through makeup and beauty techniques.
